Q: Tell me a little bit about you:
A: I grew up in Wilmette, Illinois and moved to Scottsdale in 2001. Scottsdale was always where I saw myself as this is where my dad lived. After working in post-operative care in Plastic Surgery for over six years, I decided it was time to hang up my scrubs and get certified in Pilates. I loved cultivating relationships with my patients and saw the same potential in Pilates all while keeping them healthy mentally and physically. Along my journey in Pilates, I was sought out by a well-known brand to open and run a team of over 20 instructors for over five years. During that time, I became a Master Instructor, gaining the knowledge and background to teach others who wished to pursue Pilates. It’s been over 10 years now, and I can still say, I love what I do. My clients are unlike any other, they are the strongest women and men I know. I truly am grateful. If I am not at DEFINE, I am with my beautiful little family, to whom this is all for. Everything I do, I do for them.
Q: What is your credentialing (certifications)?
A: I am Comprehensively Certified through Pilates Sports Center, a contemporary program focused on anatomy, injuring and biomechanics. In 2015, I continued my education with a Lagree certification.
Q: What is your teaching style:
A: My teaching style is intentional, precise, and controlled. It is results-driven, focusing on form, enhanced by modern biomechanics, and tailored to client needs. Each session is structured to promote core strength, alignment, and control, offering real-time corrections, adjustments, and continuous cueing to refine movement patterns. I emphasize an individual’s needs, even in a group setting, ensuring a client is challenged appropriately and safely. I believe in a welcoming but professional environment, with a strong emphasis on discipline and consistency, as both will gain long-term results. My clients are not just led through a workout- they are taught to understand and own their movement.
Q: Fun little fact about me:
A: I went through Cosmetology school…. Never did anything with it, but it’s fun to know!
